Product Expert
An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Product Expert / Business Systems Analyst to support our growing business. Your role starts with discovery, and requirements gathering right through to training – where customers are both enabled and encouraged to utilize the Simplista Platform to its fullest potential. You’ll help customers update their processes – often weighing options that challenge the status quo. You are highly consultative, a trusted advisor who builds a strong working relationship with the customer, that continues beyond projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Learn the Simplista Platform – you’ll be an internal expert on the platform.
- Serve as trusted partner to the customer as they improve their processes – keeping the customer experience top-of-mind.
- Conduct platform / product demonstrations, educate customers on the capabilities of the Simplista Platform and how to utilize to its full potential.
- Evaluate and assess customer business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and working with the Product, Engineering and Configuration teams while implementing the platform.
- Prepare for customer workshops and lead requirement gathering sessions.
- Create current and future state process maps, business and functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure platform as configured meet business needs and requirements.
- Facilitate and participate in planning, review, and approval meetings and provide feedback to the team.
- Work closely with internal and customer stakeholders to advise on progress and share ideas.
- Ensure acceptance criteria and test cases are clearly defined and match the requirements.
- Review internal test plans and results, conduct testing to ensure that the platform as configured matches the requirements.
- Review external test plans and facilitate testing by customer stakeholders, act as the bridge between the internal and external stakeholders to ensure feedback from testing is appropriately addressed.
- Create Training Plans including development of training materials and deliver training.
- Build strong working relationships with customers which continues after project implementation. Ensure customer ROI metrics are met, measure customers satisfaction, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Understand customer needs and business objectives, translate these needs to internal teams and ensure additional features get built into the platform. Capture pain points, understand product roadmap and provide customer experience feedback to improve the platform.
Key to being successful in this role
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills to prepare briefing notes, provide advice and recommendations, liaise with stakeholders and present information to a variety of contacts, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Consultation, collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Retail industry and master data background is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio), project management tools (MS Project, Clickup), experience with tools like Jira, Micro Focus ALM and GitHub will be an asset.
- 5 plus years of experience working in software implementations, specifically around, business and/or system analysis, consulting, customer onboarding and/or training
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional remote team
- Openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
- A track record of functioning well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing demands.
